Liposuction Surgery
So What is Liposuction
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Liposuction surgery is defined as a surgical procedure used to remove fat deposits from the body. Fat is removed from under the skin with the use of a canula a hollow needle like object that sucks out the fat with the use of a vacuum or by an ultrasonic probe that breaks the fat up into small pieces and then removes it with suction.
One main thing to remember is that Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure used for shaping the body and should never be recommended as a short cut for weight loss.
Liposuction surgery can be performed on almost any part of the body. The most common locations to have liposuction surgery performed on are the stomach, hips and thighs, the arms, butt, back, neck and the face.
Even in cases of gynecomastia or male breasts, liposuction surgery can help to shape the pecks into a more masculine appearance.
